Human Form:
By day, Fuyuhiko looks like an ordinary human. He seems to exclusively wear suits (mostly in neutral colors or pinstripes), though sometimes he goes without a jacket. He always wears a pin of the Kuzuryuu family emblem, as well as a dragon patterned eyepatch over his right eye. He also wears a pair of gold rings on his right index and middle fingers. He has a light dusting of freckles over the bridge of his nose, a beauty mark beneath his lips on the right side, and unusually rosy cheeks. He has a number of Has a number of scars all over his body, though these are almost always covered by his clothes.

The only thing about his physical appearance that might clue one in to his monstrous nature are his slightly pronounced and sharper than average canine teeth. Additionally, he retains his sharpened senses of hearing and smell, as well as his weaknesses to wolfsbane and silver. The latter of which is the bigger problem, given Ryslig's money involves silver coins. He is oftentimes sluggish and sleepy during the daytime as well, prone to falling asleep without warning.

Were Form:
Fuyuhiko's wereform is predominantly that of a shiba inu. However, the golden flame-like patches of fur found on his elbows, ankles, tail, and neck are reminiscent of a komainu, Japan's equivalent of the Chinese foo dogs. His claws are antique gold in color, and have a distinctly brushed look to them that makes them look more like jewelry than nails. In this form, wearing a suit would be uncomfortable so he changes his clothes into something more accommodating before the sun goes down. Typically, he wears capris and a dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up and the first few buttons undone, to accommodate his fur flames. Like so. Though sometimes he'll wear a yukata with a hidden tail flap in the back seam or a jinbei.

Lunar Were Form:
Fuyuhiko's wereform and mental state are both greatly affected by the phase of the moon. Beginning on the night of the first quarter moon, he transforms into something more along the lines of what you'd expect of the typical wolfman. (or in this case, shibaman) He takes this form every night until the last quarter moon, at which point he regains his normal, more human-like wereform. Basically, he spends about half of the month looking more human-like and the other near-half looking more dog-like, changing on the "half moons". Additionally, he becomes weaker and less prone to giving into canine instincts one nights near the new moon, and becomes stronger and more likely to give into those influences near the full moon. On the actual night of the full moon, he loses his sense of self completely and becomes a full-on werewolf in both body and mind. He is unable to remember the events of the previous night upon transforming the following morning. While Fuyuhko doesn't wear shirts while in this form, thanks to his broadened shoulders and chest, he does always make sure to wear pants, even if it's a little pointless to do so.

Reference

Immediate changes:

• Sharpened sense of hearing. Fuyuhiko can pick up on softer and/or higher pitched sounds than the average human, and can hear in a range about four times wider.

• A weakness to the "Wolfsbane" flower. Fuyuhiko is unaware than he's any weaker to this highly poisonous plant than he was as a normal human. And since he lives in the city, it's not something he's come into contact with yet.

Gradual changes:

• Carnivorous diet. With Gundam Tanaka as his roomate, Fuyuhiko's been living off of a strictly vegetarian diet for nearly all of his time in Ryslig so far. However, since he's still more human than werewolf at this point, it'll take him a while to start feeling the effects of his dietary change.
  • Update: As of 9/17, Fuyuhiko has started feeling ill, though he's mis-attributing the feeling to some kind of bug he probably picked up at the date auction.
    
    • After about a week or so, however, he realized this was not the case as all he did was feel weaker, and never so much as coughed. Which lead him to believe it might be some kind of monster weakness. After asking Gundam what it felt like when he ate salt, he walked away with the mistaken impression that he too was turning into a demon. Though this was also quickly disproven, as cutting salt out of his diet did nothing to help.
  • Update: On 10/09, Fuyuhiko finally ate some goddamn meat for the first time since the Tanabata festival. By this point, he's lost about 2kg/5lb thanks to this whole mess. Luckily, Gundam's animal expertise allowed him to put two and two together fairly quickly, meaning meat is finally back on Fuyuhiko's menu and his condition is improving.

Day Reference | Night Reference

Thanks to events taking place atop Plaga's Peak, Fuyuhiko's regular transformations were interrupted when he fell into the hole made for him. After being painfully crushed and reformed, the mountain spat him back out, not as a werewolf, but as an almost fully-fledged faerie. The only mandatory change he lacks is the need to feed on human energy, as he had not yet gained his need to eat human flesh. Predictably, he lost what little changes he had in the ways of becoming a werewolf.

Immediate changes:

• Insect-like wings. Specifically, those of a firefly. These are comprised of a soft, leathery set of black elytra with gold edging reminiscent of fire or Japanese dragon fur. In place of the typical black dot found on the red portion of the elytra is a familiar design. Underneath this shell is a set of thin black wings with a veining pattern which might look oddly familiar when viewed upside down.

• Antennae. Identical to those of a firefly in composition, however they have the appearance of Japanese dragon's antlers. These are used to sense nearby vibrations and keep balance during flight.

• Pointed ears.

• Eyes and hair in a matching pastel shade. And what a lovely pastel shade it is. His damaged right eye has also changed colors, however it is a comparatively lighter shade of pink, thanks to the scabbing.

• Thin, translucent claw-like fingernails. During the day, these are completely clear, with a faintly golden sheen. At night, they glow gold, just like a firefly's abdomen. His buttcheeks also glow the same gold shade, but this is much harder to see thanks to the combination of dark pants and long wings covering his backside. All of his bioluminescence is a cold light which emits no infrared/ultraviolet frequencies, meaning it cannot be seen by any monsters possessing heat vision.

• The ability to shrink in size. Fuyuhiko has no idea that faeries possess this ability and no control over it either. As a result, he will be stuck at a height of four inches for the duration of his transformation. He is incredibly vulnerable at this size, however he is nearly impossible to catch.

• The ability to create faerie rings. Fuyuhiko can create up to three rings of mushrooms which can be used for instant transportation. These rings are created by means of a circular dance.

• An aversion to lying. Faeries have a difficult time telling lies, even though many of them are skilled at twisting the truth. Fuyuhiko is not one of these faeries and will tell the honest truth when asked any question.

• An extra set of arms.

• Longer and thinner arms, legs, and fingers.

• The ability to create faerie dust from their hands. his can either give a human amnesia for the duration of an hour, or transform them into a harmless insect for an hour. His normal set of arms create the amnesia dust (a pale gold powder), while his waist-arms create the bug powder (a shimmering black powder). Each spell can be used only once per day.

After a full month, the effects of the mountain painfully wore off, changing Fuyuhiko back from a faerie into an unawerewolf. At the same time, he gained a few new changes.

Immediate changes:

• Sharpened sense of smell. Fuyuhiko's sense of smell has increased exponentially, to the point where it is now the strongest of his senses. Not only can he smell things that are undetectable to the human nose, but he can also pick out distinct scents and track them.

• Upper canine fangs. In his human form, Fuyuhiko's canine teeth are slightly sharper and more pronounced than they once were. However, they are still passably human-looking and not always immediately noticeable.

Gradual changes:

• Hunting instinct. This trait will manifest as increasingly invasive and violent thoughts of chasing down and killing his prey. Since his wereform is a shiba inu, this urges will begin with small game animals such as birds and rabbits before eventually turning to humans once his hunger starts to set in. At times, he may feel the inexplicable need to try and flush birds from bushes, to sink his teeth and nails into things (be it a living thing or an inanimate object like a pillow) and rip them apart, or to chase after thrown objects.

• Nighttime energy A precursor to his post transformation fatigue. As time goes on, Fuyuhiko will steadily become more restless and energetic at night in anticipation of his future nightly transformations.

Immediate changes:

• Lower canine fangs. On November 30th, Fuyuhiko's lower canine teeth fell out and were replaced with slightly sharper, more pronounced ones. This now gives him a full set of fangs in his human form.
  • Update: As of 12/03, Fuyuhiko finally started changing into his wereform every night/fog. When this happens, his fangs elongate and become considerably more dog-like in appearance.

• Fur on back, shoulders, and arms On December 03, Fuyuhiko finally started changing at night. The tops of his shoulders and all of his back are covered in the thick, reddish fur of a shiba inu, with bits of white flecking his sides near his waist. His hands are covered in white fur, which extends all the way up his forearm to his elbow (red fur on the outside, white fur on the underside). On his elbows and the back of his neck are patches of slightly curled fur, flecked with random golden fur strands.

• Clawed and pawed hands. Along with his fur, Fuyuhiko's hands have also started to change at night, becoming more paw-like in appearance. His fingers become shorter and thicker and black paw pads appear on his fingertips and the palms of his hands. His nails chance as well, turning into thick, hard, golden claws. Which he guesses is the one kind of cool thing about these weird dog hands.

Gradual changes:

• Komainu "flame" fur. The curly, gold-flecked fur on the back of his neck and his elbows is actually the start of what will eventually become tufts of fur resembling tongues of flame, as is commonly seen on a Foo dog/Komainu/Shishi. They will grow gradually over time, however, meaning it will be some time before Fuyuhiko is able to recognize it for what it is.

Immediate changes:

• Pawed and clawed feet. In his wereform, Fuyuhiko's legs become digitigrade, as opposed to plantigrade. His shin bones break every night before refusing with the bones in his feet to move his ankle up higher. This actually winds up making his wereform a couple of inches shorter than his human one, despite the fact that he walks on his toes. Like his hands, his feet feature black paw pads and sharp golden claws. Fur extends from his toes up to his knees, white on his toes and the inside of his thigh, and reddish on the outside of his thigh. His ankles have the same curly, gold-flecked fur as his elbows and neck.

• Weakness to silver. Anything containing pure silver burns to the touch. The higher concentration of silver in said object, the more dangerous the effect. A shot with a silver bullet, or a stab in a vital organ with a silver dagger/cutlery/what have you is enough to kill; while touching silver currency or jewelry is a painful annoyance at best.

Gradual changes:

• Nothing new. His fur flames will continue to grow gradually, and his instincts and thoughts will become slowly more canine.

Immediate changes:

• A tail. It's curly and fluffy like a shiba inu's, with white fur on the underside and red on top. Which means, of course, that Fuyuhiko hates it. Especially since this is the first solid proof he's gotten that he isn't actually a wereWOLF. Like his elbows, ankles, and neck, the same curly, gold-flecked fur can be found at the base of his tail and will grow gradually into flame-like fur. When the sun goes down, his tailbone elongates and rips through his skin, quickly regrowing muscle, flesh, and fur over it but not without splattering blood all over the place first.

• Longer arms. These serve to make running on all fours much easier. Which, thanks to his digitigrade feet is much easier than trying to run on two legs. Though Fuyuhiko isn't exactly fond of the idea of running like an animal, so for the most part, he'll probably stubbornly try to run like a person save for instances of particularly dire circumstances.

Gradual changes:

• Post-transformation fatigue. This has been gradually evolving over the past month or so, starting out as nighttime restlessness. However, now Fuyuhiko has begun to experience the other side of the coin, so to speak.

• Comforting instinct. One of the things that makes a dog "man's best friend" is their uncanny ability to know when a person is sick or sad. As time goes on, Fuyuhiko will find himself compelled to try and make people feel better when he finds them in these states. These compulsions will manifest mentally as a dog's idea of comforting (laying head on the person's lap, sitting on them, licking, etc) but with enough self control, he can resist this urges and substitute with a more human idea of comfort (listening, talking, spending time together, hugging).

• Destructive tendencies. Shiba inus are a very energetic breed, and this not always a good thing. If Fuyuhiko finds himself particularly bored or lonely, he will begin itching to wreck havoc on household objects, be it shredding paper, tearing up pillows, or smashing small appliances. These urges will become more pervasive and harder to ignore as time goes on.

Immediate changes:

• Pointed ears. To complete his wereform, Fuyuhiko's ears will move from the sides of his head to the top, changing to pointed shiba inu ears in the process. Additionally, his hair will be replaced with fur, which will extend down the back of his neck to, as well as slightly onto his cheeks and all the way down his forehead. This will also eliminate his eyebrows, but luckily he has those white eyebrow-like fur spots. The shaved swoops in his hair will fill in with white fur, leaving a distinctive pattern on the sides of his head.

• A dog nose. While he'll be spared a full-on snout, the tip of Fuyuhiko's nose will change into the cold, wet nose of a dog.

• A need to feed on humans. Exactly what it says on the tin. Fuyuhiko needs to consume human flesh in order to survive and maintain his sanity. He can stave off the hunger by hunting wild animals but this is only a temporary fix.

• Dog-like teeth. In order to help him with his new diet, the rest of Fuyuhiko's teeth will change to match his elongated canines. Like so.

Gradual changes:

• Nothing new. Though with the last of his physical changes now complete, his fur flames have finished growing and actually look like flames now.

Immediate changes:

• Fully canine travel form. Fuyuhiko can now shift into an actual shiba inu whenever he pleases. He is very small in this form, slightly smaller than the average shiba inu, and much more vulnerable. As a trade off, however, he can travel much faster. Also he's a million times cuter.

• Powerful jumping abilities. No matter what form he's in, Fuyuhiko can now jump much higher than he could as a normal human. He can easily leap onto rooftops or small buildings.

• "Shiba scream". Like all shiba inus, Fuyuhiko is now capable of emitting a loud, high pitched scream when sufficiently provoked or unhappy. He may also create a similar noise when overjoyed.

Gradual changes:

• Nothing new. His instincts and thoughts will become slowly more canine.

• Lunar influence. Fuyuhiko is now greatly affected by the phases of the moon. For now, this influence is limited to his mental facilities, but eventually he will be effected physically as well. The fuller the moon is, the stronger he becomes, though he also becomes more animalistic. Conversely, he becomes weaker and finds himself unbothered by canine instincts and impulses when the new moon draws near.

Immediate changes:

• Emotionally-triggered transformations. As of 07/14, Fuyuhiko will sometimes partially transform during the day when in certain emotional states. If sufficiently angered, his fangs will elongate and his nails will become more clawlike. His fur flames might also pop up, depending upon just how enraged he becomes.

Gradual changes:

• Lunar influence. Continuing from last month, Fuyuhiko now finds his wereform affected by the phases of the moon as well. On the night of the first quarter moon, he transforms into a far more dog-like form than he does normally. He changes into this form every night until the following third quarter moon, at which point he regains his usual wereform. Additionally, the mental effects of this change have increased. On nthe night of the new moon, his mind stays completely human, even though his body still changes. Conversely, on the night of the full moon, his mind becomes fully canine and Fuyuhiko has no recollection of his actions the following morning. Not unlike the typical werewolves of legends...
