• Her name translates to "little peaceful lake" but in actuality the random kanji is just a cover for the real meaning of her name: "Little Peko"
Personality:
More or less Peko Pekoyama in Pokémon form. A Pekomon, if you will. Kopeko is very loyal to her trainer and is rarely seen apart from him. In fact, Kuzuryuu never puts her in her ball, as he finds her presence comforting. She is also incredibly protective and will not hesitate to jump in and slice a bitch if thinks they're trying to hurt Kuzuryuu. Sadly, since she is quite literally made of blades, she's unable to get as close to him as she'd like to. Something like a hug is pretty much out of the question entirely.

Personality:
Kouichirou (or just Kou for short) is quite the energetic little firecracker. He's anything but the lazy type and can be somewhat impatient and reckless in that regard, oftentimes jumping the gun and acting impulsively. While his focus isn't the best, he loves a good battle and never passes up the chance to engage in one, be it playful or serious.

• Her name means "nuisance" and isn't so much a name as it was his feelings towards her when they first met.
Personality:
Meiwaku is quite possibly the happiest spider you will ever meet. She's cheerful and overly-friendly to an almost maddening degree. If she decides that she likes you, you better believe she's going to make sure you know that. If she doesn't like you...well, there's basically no chance of that happening because she seems to like just about everyone. Especially Kuzuryuu, for reasons that are unknown to everyone except Meiwaku herself. As a Spinarak, she particularly enjoyed riding on the top of her master's head, much to the gangster's chagrin. Kuzuryuu was sure it couldn't get any worse than this.
Then Mei evolved. And apparently was still under the impression that this was something she could do, despite growing nearly four times in size. At least Kuzuryuu is capable of sitting on her now and she's slowly but surely getting used to the idea that she's outgrown her favorite perch...or so Kuzuryuu hopes.
Kuzuryuu didn't actually catch Meiwaku at first, rather she just kind of latched onto his head and wouldn't let go. While traveling to Violet City with Tsumiki, Kuzuryuu kicked a tree with the hope of knocking down berries so that Tsumiki wouldn't wind up in another fanservice shot while trying to collect berries. Instead of berries, the pair was met with a deluge of tiny spidermons. With the exception of Meiwaku, all of them fled or were defeated by Kopeko and Amitriptyline. Kuzuryuu then spent almost exactly three weeks trying to get rid of her, only to have the Spinarak come back every single time. On his last attempt to ditch her, he ended up catching her because it was snowing and she just looked so damn pathetic and sad in the freezing cold.

• His name contains the kanji for "excels/surpass/superiority" and "fly/soar", implying that he is one who flies higher than all others.
Personality:
Hiroto is a fairly vain little bird who just knows he's destined for great things and won't let anyone or anything stand in the way of that. He doesn't always listen to Kuzuryuu, oftentimes making his own decisions about how things should go in battle because hey, nobody knows his own abilities better than Hiroto himself. Additionally, he has somewhat of a mischievous streak to him, something which he most often takes out on Michiko. As a Murkrow, he had a fondness for shiny things (like all Mukrows), specifically: things made out of gold. This fondness has stayed with him through evolution, however he's much less prone to attempting to steal things...unless it's from Michiko. Apparently that rivalry didn't die down after they both evolved.

Personality:
Kuzuryuu and Raiya are like kindred spirits in temper. The tiniest things are capable of setting the zebra off without warning and to shocking consequences. He's very self-driven and doesn't believe in holding back, usually going at things head on and full force. Prior to evolving, this usually landed him in a lot of trouble since he didn't have much stamina. It's gotten a little better as he's gotten stronger, but he still has the tendency to overdo attacks and drain himself in the middle of battle.

Personality:
Having spent the entirety of her life on the streets, Michiko is something of a rough and tumble little alleycat. She isn't exactly the most trusting, opting to greet new things with hostility and aggression. When Kuzuryuu first found her, she immediately attacked Meiwaku, something which sort of endeared the cat to the gangster...despite the fact that he got caught in the crossfire (since Meiwaku was still nothing more than an unwelcome head guest at that point). Michiko is also very stubborn and finicky and as a result, it took Kuzuryuu several attempts to actually get her to stay inside a ball. She does not get along well at ALL with Hiroto, though, surprisingly, she is less often the instigator of their squabbles.

• Her name means "warm loyalty".
Personality:
Tadami almost seems to have something of a motherly quality to her, a trait which really began to show itself after she evolved. She's very composed and level-headed, rarely causing trouble for her master. In fact, she's usually one of the ones trying to break up inter-team tiffs. For this reason, she gets along very well with Kopeko, despite their opposing types. Due to her motherly nature and typing, she's usually the one who ends up looking after Kuzuryuu's eggs and hatching them (she's helped Tsumiki similarly on one occasion). As such, she tends to view the Pokémon she's hatched as her children, with a few exceptions. This is especially true of Tsuyoshi, whom she is rarely seen without. Can't you see the family resemblance? He's totally her son.
