[Ah. Truthfully, he expected something like this would happen if Gundam and Nonon continued to interact. He wasn't aware that they actually had, however. But now that he's hearing it from the source itself, he can't help but feel a little guilty.]
[He was the one who had introduced them, after all. Not formally, sure, but...she wouldn't have a clue who Gundam was if it wasn't for him.]
Sorry. I should have known better than to introduce you to her...
[That...kind of hurts too, Kuzuryuu. It's the same kind of concept, just without plainly stated insults to his face. You should have known better than to introduce them because of how he is, because she's the type of person to harass him for the same reason.]
It's nothing to apologize for. The most she is is annoying.
[With a snort he takes his turn to toss some piece of medical equipment across the hall, enjoying the satisfying clang as the metal strikes one of the cabinets before falling to the ground.]
[Well, to be fair, she harasses everyone. But yeah, Gundam's particular brand of eccentricity was bound to cause more problems. He said it with the best intentions, he promises! Even if it...really kind of is a backhanded insult as well. Oops.]
Tch, I told you she wasn't my rival right from the start. Dunno why you thought she was. Like I could even have a rivalry with a normal person. ["Normal" meaning "not yakuza", of course] But even if I could, a rivalry is one of the very last things I'm looking for right now.
[Right down there with a romantic relationship. Ain't nobody got time for that, especially in this situation they're in right now.
Beyond that. It's possible to be competitive without the witty banter involved. Especially considering nomenclatures such as "Little Boss" and "Mini Maestro". Both classic signs of a rivalry accepted by both participants.
Th-that was the first and only time I've called her that!! [AND NOW HE NEVER WILL AGAIN.] I was just trying to get back at her for calling me "Little Boss" all the goddamn time.
[Well at least it's not just Gundam who gets a shitty nickname that she won't stop using?]
I thought maybe she'd quit doing it. Shoulda known better...
[Nothing. And her next attempt doesn't go over much better.]
Not that I don't appreciate what you're trying to do here...or, what I think you're trying to do here anyway, [She IS trying to cheer him up, right? That's what this is? Even if it's a really bad attempt...] but knock it off with the jokes.
[He's not really in the mood for jokes right now. Sorry, Mabel.]
[There's a moment where she puffs her cheeks out a little in sort of a frown, just kind of watching Kuzuryuu as they walk, but she sighs a little and drops it and the jokes. Mr. Grumpy Gills, jeez!!
Instead, she'll take to looking around the hall. Not that...there's much to see, really. Long, boring white hall with bright lights.]
I wonder why they put stuff like this in these levels...is this supposed to be like a horror game or something?
[If you don't want to hear her jokes, you'll just have to deal with her talking about other things!]
Yeah! And have you seen those nurses? They don't look very friendly. Plus all the blood and murder talk and junk I mean...maybe this is just a really bad horror game attempt.
[Just sort of waving her hands in the air a little before dropping them.]
I never tried any of their horror levels in ViViD so they could just be awful at that kind of stuff.
Maybe. I never come in here voluntarily, so I wouldn't know how good or bad they are at any genre.
[He has issues with virtual reality games. Sure this whole thing is technically virtual reality, but...ViViD isn't something he wants to chance going in. Nope.]
Oh really? Huh. A lot of people don't seem to like playing it.
[She's saved a lot of butt before.]
Well when they're good at a genre they're really good. Like their MMO stuff is fantastic! The quests are really fun, even if they're kind of silly sometimes, they really know their stuff about classes and leveling and monsters, they've got magic of all kinds and lots of really cool armor and weapons. Dipper and I played those levels all the time.
[She's just going to start walking backward so she can look at you while she talks. And also make a variety of wide hand gestures to help explain everything.]
Like. There was this one level right? He was this rogue type, an archer that uses daggers too, and I was a mage! And we were going through this dungeon and it had goblins and trolls and dragons and we kicked a lot of butt. He used his explode-y weapons to help take down the big guys and I'd freeze them with my magic - not literally like ice freeze, but stuns and debuffs and stuff - and at the end there was this huuuuuuuge dragon we had to beat! It was the final boss, and it was sooo hard. But it was also really worth it too, because we got these special rare weapons for it! He got this really cool bow that had a bunch of enchantments on it, and my staff raised my attack up by a bunch and also gave me a slight mana regen too! So when I was just standing around I'd earn like...one or two points of mana back ever minute or so. It was great!
[She's quiet for a few moments after that story before opening her mouth to talk again. Just not giving him any time to interject at all man.]
I'm leveling up a different character now though. He said I'd be a pretty good rogue, so I'm giving that a try. I want to go back and get that bow for myself some time I think. I got to try using a bow when the city was all weird a while ago and it was pretty fun. I've got really good aim. Always hit my mark! A lot better aim than Dipper he always had to like. Get their legs or the sides and stuff but I can hit 'em right between the eyes!
[That's okay. He wouldn't know what to say to any of this, even if he wanted to interject. He's content enough to just let her babble while continuing to work towards the door at the end of the hall. Man...this is like the world's longest hallway. Are they even moving??]

She is not a fitting rival for you.

[Though he's got no comment on not being interested, or not having a rivalry with a "normal" person.]

Good. Should you ever decide to seek a nemesis, you deserve far better than that cretin.
[He could be your rival!!!]

Yeah, well...thanks for the vote of confidence, but that's not going to be changing any time soon if I have anything to say about it.

I dunno, can't say I've played many horror games. But it's probably for a reason like that. Hospitals seem to be a pretty common horror theme.
