[Once that's out of the way though he waves a hand, aiming to dispel any of the blonde's fears for his safety.]

Corn snakes are of the constrictor family. While they do still possess a painful bite, they do not carry any venom. They are also one of the most docile breeds of serpents, not likely to bite in the first place unless grossly mishandled or mistreated. Allow me introduce you to them.

[Just coaxing the white one out are you ready to hold a snake, Fuyuhiko?

Gundam wonders if now would be a good time to bring up the idea of getting a bigger place to live from the magic horse guy...the topic has technically already come up, right?]

[You are not judging his name. You are not.

But still, he holds the snake out, the little reptile curling around his hand and fingers and watching Fuyuhiko curiously. Come on man, hold the snake. Or pet its head at least.]

I considered purchasing a parakeet or a pair of budgies, but a bird would be much more problematic for this set up. That said, once the living situation currently in planning is achieved, those will most certainly be obtained.

As for the snakes, this is Kiyohime, and her companion is Ryuujin.
hamham: There is no way anyone will know that it was me. (I left the party with a kitten.)

Names fit for royalty! [Obviously since one is the "purity princess" and the other is the "dragon king", Gundam. She's very receptive to the little bit of petting, sitting still and patient under Fuyuhiko's fingers as the breeder explains.]

Kehehe...since our running out in the fog, an ingenious plot has carefully been in the works on amending this problem before it causes us any sort of permanent damage.

[Or he manages to do something else to get them kicked out.]

It has been said that this "horse god" is capable of granting entire living quarters to those who ask. I intend to wish for a grand castle for us to inhabit. Where we shall be the rulers, and none can banish us simply because of the day of the month. With such a home, there will be more than enough space for us, for beastly companions, and anything else we desire to keep. Fuahahahaha! Tell me this is not a brilliant plan! I dare you!

A castle.

[Honestly what were you expecting Fuyuhiko? Gundam.

Tanaka Gundam.

Where else would he want to live?]

[The look on his face says, "I'm glad you asked."]

Allow me to show you!

[He moves over to his bed, crouching down to pull a sketchbook out from under it. When did he get that? It's being flipped through, until he finds the page he's looking for, and he offers it to Fuyuhiko.

According to his sketches, it's a pretty standard looking European style castle. Probably something you'd see a villain staying in, with a high tower, protective walls, surrounded by a lake with a bridge for access.]

[Those would be "always" and "where else would I put it", but since the questions go unasked they also go unanswered. Instead he looks on proudly as the heir appraises the designs, nodding when he's addressed again. He's given it a lot of thought!]

There are a handful of reasons. For one, such a castle would seem to fit in well for the period and culture this realm seems to be based in. Western castles are also far more well known for these sorts of high towers, which make perfect roosts for fiends who dominate the skies. [Like, eventually, himself.]

It also carries a terrifying and ominous air about it, a perfect fortress for dastardly abominations like myself and imposing figures like you.

[There could also, possibly, be Sonia influence in here, somewhere.]

hamham: vomited 3 times in the street because you would forget so here is your reminder. (So you told me to remind you that you)

[...that question has him quiet and contemplative for a few moments. Why does he care about fitting in? Sure, in most cases, it bugs him when things don't fit in with the story, but this is different.]

...what would you do instead?

[Okay, Fuyuhiko, you have his interest.]
hamham: and yelling "YOU USED TO BE A DINOSAUR!!!" (Apparently I was pointing at birds)

[personal profile] hamham 2015-11-29 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
[Wow, what a brat.

But hmm...a Japanese style castle? That would certainly be nothing like the buildings in this area. And it'd be pretty comfortable with its familiarity.]

Classier, hm...

[Of course he'd want something classy.]

Osaka castle would be unacceptable as a place of living, but...perhaps a castle like it would work. How would you address its lack of tall, lofty towers?

[Remember that's a thing, friend. He wants something he can fly to and from!]
hamham: to your penis. I have every right to give it a name. (I've done unspeakable things)

[personal profile] hamham 2015-11-29 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
[That is not even close to the problem Gundam is presenting. Have you seen Osaka castle? That is too imperial. It looks like a castle angels would reside in, not demons!!]

Of course I have, but how tall do those actually grow to be? There is no point in selling me on a tower that is not tall enough to serve their purpose. A tower, in a place like this, is an excellent point of presence. Flying into or from a tower that does not, literally, tower over the surrounding area is not nearly as intimidating.
hamham: one more time and honest to god I will sacrifice a bunny on the hood of your car. (Swear to god you say cuddle bunny)

[Gundam immediately scoffs, frowning at such a claim.]

How can you not envision such a thing? Knowing that a powerful demon inhabits a castle alone often fills humans with fear! Imagine approaching such a monument! Dread pooling in the pit of your stomach as you encroach upon the castle gates, the darkness of twilight surrounding you, threatening to drown the light held in your trembling hands. You open the gate, cringing as it groans and squeals in opposition of such an action, eyes darting to skies as if expecting the hellion you are hunting to have overheard the complaints of the iron hinges and is now bearing down on you from the skies, and yet you see nothing.

That is until your foot steps hit the cobblestone of the courtyard, at which point you hear a villainous cackle ring through the air. Terror squeezes your very heart as you look up, eyes drawing towards the top of the main keep of the castle, the tallest tower looming high above you, and see a pair of impossibly large wings that surely belong to the hellish bastard you fear launch from the roost! That clawing, gnawing fear crawling up one's spine, scraping against the inside of their ribs, robbing them of their ability to breathe or think or even scream...it is an important atmosphere to obtain for a demon overlord!
hamham: and yelling "YOU USED TO BE A DINOSAUR!!!" (Apparently I was pointing at birds)

[personal profile] hamham 2015-11-29 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
[He'd been gesturing with his hands through out the speech, and now folds them neatly over his chest once it's finished.]

Though...I suppose if you feared such things, your caliber would not be so lofty above the peasants around us.
hamham: and told them I wouldn't get arrested because it's not a real sword. (Indeed. Apparently I called my friends)

[personal profile] hamham 2015-11-29 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
Well of course we wouldn't leave them open here. It was a general description. Staying outside the gates would garner the same reaction, especially considering humans are regularly on the menu here.

[Jeez. He's not dumb, he is just trying to give you a good idea of what you should be imagining here okay.]

Truly, a demon descending upon them from above is far more terrifying here. It's a matter of life or death, rather than ascension or damnation.
hamham: poop stain was yours and not my secret dog. (Thanks for telling my landlord that the)

[personal profile] hamham 2015-11-29 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
[Five or six stories...that suggestion actually has him rubbing at his chin in thought, obviously imagining something like that and trying to judge the effectiveness of it.]

Eight stories, in the least.
