[Kuzuryuu's expression sours when Peko mentions that LILITH managed to become an AI. Because that sounds horribly familiar and the LAST person he knew who ~transcended humanity and became an AI~ wasn't exactly uh...]

[Well it was Junko. And that's really all that needs to be said there.]

[He doesn't say anything though, just listens as Peko continues. And even once she's done, he seems to be at a loss for a response, merely taking a sip of tea and frowning slightly.]

I see. So I'm guessing Tenka isn't the only one she reached out to then, right? Other people have talked to her as well?

Good. It better be, otherwise I'd have to go have a talk with that barista.

[Is he joking or is he serious, it's really kind of hard to tell from both his tone and his expression. He's probably serious though.]

[It's kind of hard to tell, but it's probably both. She shakes her head though, taking another sip.]

Nope, no need to do that! Though I guess I haven't tried the parfait yet, so maybe it's too soon to talk.

[Is she joking or se--nah it's easy to tell she's joking, even if she is going to try that immediately. Apparently the parfait is up to snuff though, judging by how Mabel's expression lights up.]

Wow! This is delicious! [And a few more happy bites following that.]

[Kuzuryuu chuckles, taking a sip of his tea.]

Good.

[After a few bites and devouring one of the strawberries, she pushes the parfait across the table.]

Wanna try some? You didn't get anything to eat.

[And also you were nice enough to get her something at all.]

Ah... [Kuzuryuu is pretty sure there's way too much dairy in that to chance it. He frowns a little, holding up a hand.] That's okay, I'm not hungry. Thanks though.

Oh, okay! [Taking it back then!] But if you change your mind lemme know okay?

[She doesn't mind sharing! Though better change your mind pretty quick because that's probably going to be gone pretty quick.]

[Definitely not going to change his mind since it has nothing to do with hunger and everything to do with not wanting to be stuck with stomach pains later. He takes another sip of tea.]

[You can't blame him for that! Mabel wouldn't if she knew, but she doesn't so she's got no idea.

The girl falls quiet at that, slowing down in her consuming of the parfait. It only lasts a moment, but she nods and sets the treat down, half finished.]

[She fiddles with the hem of her sweater for a minute or so before looking up at Kuzuryuu.]

Um...do you mean anything anything...?

...within reason, yeah.

[Nothing inappropriate, Mabel. He's not going to kiss you or let you grab his butt or anything weird like that.]

[Don't worry she's not going to ask for anything like that!!]

[Well apparently you look at his butt and think he's attractive!! Not that Kuzuryuu has any clue about that but still.]

[Okay well...actually it would be sort of weird since they're in public and hugging in general is just kind of weird for someone like Kuzuryuu. But these are kind of special circumstances and Mabel IS a kid. So it's different, and more importantly: it's okay.]

[Though that doesn't make him the best choice to ask for something like that. Almost anybody else would be a better option, really.]

[Jeeez that's just looking, okay! Also she wouldn't ask for something like that, that'd be weird and the opposite of romantic you know.

With the okay though, Mabel gets out of her chair, quickly makes her way around the table and practically latches onto Kuzuryuu. Sorry that it's weird out in public, but you know this is just something she really needs right now. He's not even an awful choice.

He's a friend and that's really what matters here. Though with how tight it is it may last a few minutes, sorry about that...]

I would assume so, [she answers, taking her own sip of tea to mirror his motion, though she did note the change in expression at the AI bit. Hinata had told her about Junko's AI, so maybe that's what's prompting it? Or it's the absurdity of the entire situation. People being artificial intelligences shouldn't be real, and yet, here we are.]

Tenka said that she had deemed him "worthy," but he was not certain what that meant, as of yet. I would think it would mean that she would contact him further, but as of yet... we are not certain.

Hmm. Well, keep me updated I guess. Since it sounds like waiting is about all he can do for now.

Like I said, I wouldn't have bothered if it wasn't simple and straightforward. Here...

[He puts San-D on his shoulder as he pulls out his Cerevice, scooting his cushion over closer to Gundam. Now the breeder can look over his shoulder as he shows him how to use it to change the decor. Watch as the table changes from a light ash-looking wood to a deep mahogany! And now a glasstop table!]

[Wow this is really probably throwing the three Devas still on the table for a loop...]

There isn't much more, considering LILITH has not contacted him since their initial conversation... I only know that he is concerned for her, as it seems strange to him that she has not been in further contact.

This information is not widely known, but Tenka trusts the two of us, and Hinata. That, I think, is good to know.

She didn't really tell me anything about the ghosts, no. Just that ghosts were somehow involved. But she did tell me about LILITH.

[Yeah, no. Gundam seems pretty amazed, but the hamsters are not amused. They're sort of huddling up before moving to seek refuge...which unfortunately leaves them all crawling into cups of that nice sake set of Kuzuryuu's. Sorry about that friend, they're just a little startled.]

Ah! Magnificent! How could they manage such a feature...? I had no idea technology could do something like this.

[And back to normal! Wow, amazing. Unfortunately for Gundam, Kuzuryuu is too distracted by the hamsters to answer his questions. He drops his Cerevice onto the table with a clatter.]

Oi! [He immediately leans over and tries to fish them out of the cups. He seems surprisingly upset about this. Even by Kuzuryuu standards of anger.] Get the fuck out of there, those aren't for you!!

[While he doesn't exactly return the hug, Mabel will no doubt notice that he does sort of curl around her. It's kind of more like shielding than hugging. After a few moments, he pats her on the back a little. It's okay. Shh.]

[Though if she tries to keep this going longer than a minute, he is going to start trying to nudge her away. Sorry but...again, it's in public and that's weird and even if his big brother instincts are kicking in something fierce right now, he still wouldn't exactly call himself and Mabel close. Not that he wouldn't mind that changing, surprisingly enough.]

[Wow amazing is right! When Kuzuryuu moves to try and fish the hams out, Gundam moves to try and help. Jum-P and Cham-P came easily enough for Kuzuryuu (one fell back asleep and the other is so fat), but Maga-Z is being stubborn.

Though while the heir is dealing with those hams, before their owner actually puts in some real effort in getting the remaining hamster, he pulls out his CereVice and snaps a photo. Yup. Never miss an opportunity for cute ham pics.

Okay but picking up that cup and dumping Maga-Z out now. Come on, don't do that.]

My apologies. Allow me to wash these for you.

[He may love animals but he realizes it is not exactly sanitary letting them sit in cups.]

[Well yeah, it's not sanitary but that's not really the problem here. The problem is those are from Hinata and he's more concerned about something happening to damage them. After all, you can wash cups no big deal. Just use some extra sanitizer and you're good to go, in this case.]

[Once all the hams are out though, Kuzuryuu puts Jum-P and Cham-P back on the table before gathering up the sake set and getting to his feet. Unless she's decided to jump off at any point, San-D is apparently welcome to stay on his shoulder.]

It's fine, I can wash 'em later. Let me just...move these out of here so it doesn't happen again.

[And with that, he'll disappear back into the kitchen, setting the set down on the counter near the sink.]

[San-D sticks along for the ride! And as Kuzuryuu moves, Gundam gathers up the remaining hamsters and stands up to follow. They're placed on his shoulders (mostly so they don't get into anything else...) and he trails after his classmate.]

Are you sure? These animals are in my care, so it is my responsibility.

[He's a good pet owner, he knows how the score goes with these types of things.]
