Kuzuryuu. [Kind of a stiff way to start a voicemail. It almost sounds like this is a tiny bit awkward for him, though then again it's Gundam we're talking about and who knows how often he's ever called people before, right? Well, people who are in that vague grey area of "pretty okay but not friends" anyway.]

[So later in the evening, whether he's answering to a knock that has no one on the other side or returning from being out, Kuzuryuu is going to find a box in front of his door! It's a pretty big box, plain brown, with "To Fuyuhiko" written in big, neat letters on the top!

Inside of this box, he is going to find an envelope and two smaller boxes, these done up in a lovely wrap job with bows on them as well as little notes written in the corner that read "Do not open until Christmas!" If he waits, or if he opens them now, this is what he'll find:

Inside the envelope is a red card. You might not be able to tell this is supposed to be a Christmas card just by looking at it if it wasn't accompanying Christmas gifts, and didn't read Merry Christmas in pink glitter at the bottom. The glitter probably clashes a little bit with the image carefully drawn on the front, but hey. What are you going to do? The stickers that adorn it don't really match either, and on the inside there are more stickers as well as a hand drawn picture and a note:

Merry Christmas Fuyuhiko! I wish we had more time to get to know each other before Christmas like this, because I'm kind of guessing a lot on what kinds of stuff you'd like. But I did my best, and I really hope you like what I got you! The card is kind of from Dipper too, cuz I asked him from some ideas for manly things to draw for you, since I wasn't sure if you'd want a cute kitty or something? And he gave me this really big, long, dumb list of stuff but I thought the snake on fire and the skull were okay. Can you believe he wanted me to write you a secret code or something? Like how were you supposed to know what it even said? What would I even write in secret code?! Anyway, I hope the thing I made for you fits! I asked Peko for your measurements, but all she had was your chest, so I kind of guessed on the rest of it. I hope you have a very good Christmas, and if I don't see you today I'm gonna give you a big Christmas bear hug tomorrow, okay?

In the thin garment box he will find a thick sweater. It's going to be a little big on him, and the arms definitely go an inch or two past his finger tips, but it is a very warm sweater and the chest and collar (which has to be rolled down) at least fit fairly snug! There's a note accompanying it that reads "It's like the dragon's hugging you! ❤"

In the larger box is an assortment of things, carefully arranged in a gift basket. What do MEN like?? She doesn't know. She thought about that a little, but in the end didn't shop solely with that in mind. There is a small part of the basket that has some sweets in it, ranging from chocolates to dipped pretzels to different flavored hard candies. It's a pretty good variety. She knows Peko doesn't like them, but maybe Kuzuryuu does? And Christmas candies are some of the best, so you can't go wrong there! Another "assortment" item included are two boxes of tea! One box is just a general variety, including types like Jasmine and Oolong. The other box focuses on a more calming herbal variety. Not to insult Kuzuryuu or anything, but she knows being a criminal can be a stressful thing!

The last two things he's going to find in that basket are actually in a third, slim white box. It's not wrapped, so it's easy to just pop open, and inside is a sleek, silk black tie with a white criss crossing pattern on it and a set of matching cufflinks. Does...he wear cufflinks? She's not sure. But it's a suit-y thing, and he very clearly likes his suits.]

Kuzuryuu-kun, I hope you've managed to settle into this place at least a little.

[Weird place that it is.But polite greetings out of the way, Komaeda jumps striaght into it.] I'm sorry for taking up your time, but there's an important date coming up. Hinata-kun's birthday is coming up. I want to have a party for him with all his friends. I think he deserves it.

[Expect to find a gift on Christmas Eve, all wrapped in red paper with a To Kuzuryuu, from Hinata on a sheet of neat white paper on top. Inside--

Is another little box, and when he opens it Kuzuryuu'll find a good amount of karinto in wax paper. They look almost homemade, and they'll taste delicious... and besides that, there're several sake cups wrapped up carefully, black with gold dragon designs on them.

And a simple, handwritten note: Merry Christmas, Kuzuryuu. I figured that, even if we don't drink sake out of them, it might be fun to use these sometime.

Except it's Peko, so it's a very polite double-knock with the back of her knuckles. For all she knows, Kuzuryuu isn't even home? And even if he is home, if he doesn't hear her, that's okay, too. She's already uncertain enough giving this to him, even if it's after Christmas and can't possibly be taken the wrong way. Or the right way. No, wrong way--!!

But if he is home and peeks through the peephole, or even opens the door, it's immediately obvious that Something's Up. Dressed up, that is, thanks to Peko's black dress and, wonder of wonders, a bit of jewelry. Her hair isn't in its usual braids, either, instead pulled up into a simple bun. Those loose bits of hair that are usually free from her braids are still hanging comfortably on either side of her face, though, so it's not like she's magically unrecognizable. She is unmistakably still Peko, down to the sword bag on her back.]

[So after such a fun glitch, Gundam needed a day to lock himself in his apartment, recuperate and brood a little. He kind of felt bad he didn't at least say something to his classmates about the New Year on the appropriate date, and he feels bad now calling Kuzuryuu up with no intentions on fixing that. But there are more pressing matters on his mind.

Though it takes at least five minutes to make the call. They're not friends, after all, so it feels a little awkward asking him something like this. But really the Kuzuryuu siblings were the only two who could actually answer this question. Eventually he's managing to call the elder sibling.]

[Tenka had given Peko the go-ahead a while ago to catch Kuzuryuu up on the happenings in Cerealia, particularly those that involved a bit more of the supernatural side. So when it comes to this event, he's ready to check in on them and make sure they're safe -- which is, of course, when the power goes out and Tenka's not sure if his brothers are home and he has to prioritize. Hence why it's not until after the nightmare that involves some weird android and LILITH that he thinks it's especially important to check in.]

Kuzuryuu? [Hinata will sound unusually strained-- this call's coming a while after the tour, after the CereVices have come back on. They've come back on, but Hinata's eye still isn't working right...

It's a little scary, though he's trying not to think about it too hard.]
