Amd Kuzuryuu figures he should probably try and do something about that, instead of just sitting here being angry at CERES some more. There's plenty of time for that later, after all.]

Y'know...not wanting to disappoint you is what kept her going after...after the funhouse. And she wouldn't let the rest of us forget what you said or did, either. She thinks the damn world of you, that much was obvious to any of us.

So I guess...I'm actually more than just "pretty sure" that she'd never think you're useless.

[Will there be a point in this conversation where Gundam's response isn't preceded by a decent amount of silence? Who knows, but that point isn't now at least. Again he finds it difficult to know or figure out what to say here...for completely different reasons this time. Because something like that...suddenly he finds himself missing Sonia a lot. There hadn't been a whole lot of thought given to the possibility of seeing her again before, Gundam having been a little more wrapped up in settling into this new environment, coming to terms with a lot of things he's learned about home, somewhat trying to forget those things at the same time...

Spending time with her that evening, and then hearing this from Kuzuryuu...he really wants to see her again. The real her, not this bullshit CERES is pulling.

He feels very lonely right now, too. He knows he has to say something here though. He can't just sit here and stew in these feelings when he has someone on the phone that's rude. Especially when they're trying to lift his spirits.]

[He's not yet sure if he would call her amazing, but interesting is a good word for her, for now. Though he's not wrong on that not being enough time with her. Which is a weird feeling, all things considered.

But oh, an invitation over? He wasn't actually expecting that.]

[Because that's kind of expensive and not really a high priority at the moment. Clothes and food are a little more important. And a birthday present for Hinata, of course.]

[And with that, he'll hang up and go get the water started. Then go throw on a shirt and a pair of pants. Roll his futon up and put it away because he just could not be fucked to do either of those things today.]

[In spirit, yes. The best kind of pajama party, really! But he's going to decide what wear exactly before just sticking to one of his tees and a pair of pants. No real need for the long sleeve shirt that goes with his usual ensemble. He will take the time to wrap his arm though before throwing on his scarf, gathering the hams, putting on his boots and coat and heading out.

It doesn't take him much longer to get there either. No detours needed to be taken, and he's explored the district enough now to know at least where the apartment building is. So pretty soon there's a polite knock on the door.]

[Kuzuryuu doesn't keep him waiting at the door long, opening it mere moments after the knock. Once again, he's just wearing a dress shirt and pants.He hasn't even bothered to do up the last two buttons on his shirt though and his pin is nowhere in sight.]

Just in time, the water's done.

[And with that, he disappears from the doorway and heads over to the kitchen area. Presumably to do something about the boiling water.]

[Kuzuryuu's apartment is, perhaps surprisingly, a little on the small side. Just a studio, furnished and decorated very traditionally. Really the only things of note are a black and gold saké set in the center of a low table (on which there are two empty tea cups and a box presumably full of tea bags), a kamidana set high on one of the walls, and a black memorial cabinet in a far corner near a folding screen with a dragon on it. Three guesses what that's about, and the first two don't count. The whole room smells faintly of incense, though there doesn't seem to be any burning right now.]

Just have a seat at the table, I'll be in there in a second.

[As Kuzuryuu disappears, Gundam stops to remove his boots before going any further into the apartment. He also pulls off his coat, letting that hang over his arm as he moves to sit at the table as told. Though it's not without glancing around the small living space that he does so, just curiously taking in the new surroundings. It's nice. Reminds him, somewhat, of home, and makes him wonder if he should perhaps look into more traditional decorations for his own apartment. Not a lot, but enough to give it...sort of his mother's touch? She likes that kind of thing, after all.

He's a very good house guest though, sitting down without touching anything. Resting his coat in his lap. The most offensive thing he might be doing is remaining silent as he waits for his classmate. What a horrible guy, right?]

[Kuzuryuu would be happy to show him how if he wanted. He definitely took advantage of those free HOLO(gm) credits as soon as possible to try and make things as much like home as possible. Well...on a much smaller scale, anyway.]

[Jeez, what an asshole though, yeah. Wow. Just politely sitting there like that. Kuzuryuu reappears fairly quickly, a teakettle in hand. He kneels down on the cushion catty-corner to Gundam and proceeds to fill the two cups. Guests first, of course. Once that's done, he gets back up and takes it back into the kitchen because apparently he didn't think to grab a potholder or something. So it's just going to sit on the stove again. Oh well, gives Gundam time to pick out some tea.]

[It's predominantly oolong and green, though there are a few random other types in there as well. Some jasmine, chamomile...probably more "relaxing" types than one would think Kuzuryuu would have. Though not nearly as many as he likely needs.]

[Maybe that is one more conversation they can have! The more the merrier, right? That totally goes for conversation topics as well as people. Totally.

But he is. He's just the worst. Why would you invite him over, Kuzuryuu, he's literally the worst person in the world. So polite. Quietly thanking him as he pours the water like that even what a douchebag.

He's a little surprised by the "relaxing" type teas mixed in there, though he's not going to comment on it. Because yeah, he honestly really probably could use them, so maybe that's why he has them. By the time the heir returns, he already has his tea steeping. He was boring and went with green.]

[Man, he's really starting to wonder why! Maybe even regret it a little.]

[No, he's not. That's a lie. He doesn't regret it at all and he'll probably do it again at some point.]

[He returns quickly, taking his seat and fishing out a bag of oolong because he's really not any less boring than Gundam.]

[Gundam certainly wouldn't turn the offer to visit again down. And look at these two. So adventurous. Such risk taking. Who knows how their tea will turn out!

[He chuckles lightly at the frown. He's pretty sure he knows what's going through Gundam's head right now.]

Not because it's not a fitting talent or anything - Gundam wouldn't know, he's never had a little sister - but he sort of figured she'd have a talent within the "yakuza" vein. Especially after she bullied Kuzuryuu so much. Then again, maybe that's what makes her such a good little sister? Bullying her older brother like that?

[There's a strained noise at that comment and honestly it's a good thing Kuzuryuu hadn't yet deemed his tea steeped enough to drink yet. Otherwise he probably would have choked.]

After all, the only reason he's even having this FTE with Gundam is because it's kind of unavoidable thanks to Gundam actually meeting her.] Some say she's the reincarnation of our uncle, the most powerful member of our family ever to exist. And for a while, there was a part of the syndicate that wanted to have her take my place as heir.
