Basically, this world is modeled off of the video game known as "Pokemon". Do you have a strange animal with you? Or a red and white ball?

It's an Audino! That's a normal type. The Hearing Pokémon. Audino has incredibly sensitive hearing, using its ears like radar to pick up even the faintest sounds.

[ Hell yes she's memorized a bunch of Pokédex entries, are you kidding? ]

Since she's been following you, she's definitely your partner...in this place, everyone has Pokémon. She'll be helping you out in battles and whatever else you choose to do here, so you should give her a name as soon as you think of one. My partner's name is Kirby...at least, my starter.

Not if you don't want to...you can do whatever you want to do, really. There's two type of trainers in terms of ID cards..."trainers" and "breeders". If you want, you could try to learn about Pokémon nursing, maybe...?

...Anyway, I'm on the road towards Violet...I should be there pretty soon. It's the second city in, so if you and Kuzuryuu-kun are walking, we can meet up to talk in person then. A lot of us are in Goldenrod right now, but several people are planning to go travelling for a little...

Ah, that reminds me. Part of the game is collecting badges from gym leaders, which you win by battling them. You don't have to do that, but that's why I'm going to Violet. The first gym...is there.

I will find a Pokemon Center as soon as possible then! I'm excited to speak with these Nurses! [More than just excited, really. She's ecstatic.] In the meantime, I'll do my best to learn on my own as well. You said I needed potions? If you are going to get badges...that means you intend to battle, correct?

Potions and antidotes...there are lots of types of medicines for different status effects, but the names are usually helpful as to which goes with which...

Yep. Poison attacks can make that happen...there's also things like "paralyze" and "burn".

[ ...Aw, that's a sweet offer. Obviously she is on board with it. ]

If that's the case...I'd really appreciate you doing so, Tsumiki-san.

[She is practically beaming.] Paralyze and burn...and there are "potions" for these as well, yes? I don't seem to have any of these in my bag, save for Potions. I also have things called Repels...?

Think nothing of it, Nanami-san! That's my job as a nurse.

Paralyze heal and burn heal...there are also berries that work, but I haven't managed to get my hands on any of those, so I'm afraid I don't know too much about it. I've mostly been focused on learning the new Pokemon and types.

As for Repels, those are important if you don't want to battle...they'll keep wild Pokemon away for a while.

I think they can be found in the wild on trees...you might also be able to buy them in places, although I haven't looked around too much for that. My money's gone to items for my Pokemon, and also games...

Yes! I also bought a lot of other games for it...I play them a lot of the time. It's not the same as having all my consoles, but the games are still really fun...I just have to build up my collection again.
